All our products are dairy free. The only products in our range that contain honey is our Gourmet Granolas. We source our honey locally from the team at Hunt and Gather Bee co. Hannah and Rory O’Brien from Raglan on the wild west coast of New Zealand. We chose these guys for their amazing caring heart for the bees and fantastic sustainability initiatives. Some of our ingredients are organic including all our coconut products. All of our ingredients are sourced from sustainable growers.
Absolutely not!
We are not just Gluten free but certified!
All our products are subject to independent accredited laboratory testing at least every 12 months and random audit testing. We go to considerable expense to ensure that all our gluten-free ingredients and finished food products are compliant with the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
We work with our suppliers to ensure there is no cross contamination between gluten and non-gluten containing products on site or during transit. We request Certificate of Analysis from our suppliers for all ingredients used. Further processing and or packing of any of these ingredients are undertaken in our dedicated gluten free processing and packing facility.
The Crossed Grain logo is a symbol nationally and internationally recognised by those who need to follow a gluten free diet, and is administered in New Zealand by the coeliac Society of New Zealand who approves the licensed use of this logo on products sold in New Zealand and Australia.
According to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, a foodstuff labelled as ‘gluten-free’ must not contain “detectable gluten” or “oats or their products”. Current detection technology can detect gluten in amounts as little as 3 ppm. This means that foodstuffs labelled ‘gluten-free’ in New Zealand and Australia are effectively required to contain no traces of gluten over 3 ppm (parts per million).

All our products like to be stored in a cool dry dark place. The Fridge is ideal during the warm summer months ensuring the bag is resealed or pop it in an airtight container. It not only extends the life but the crunch is amazing!
We did a huge amount of research into packaging and chose to opt for a 7 soft plastics recyclable resealable packaging. Because of the nature of our products we require packaging that provides our products with a high barrier against moisture and oxygen as well as protection against any bugs in search of a good meal!
The high barrier also enables our products to stay fresher for longer, so we reduce food wastage. The stand-up pouch also stands up (excuse the pun) to the handling and shipping without damages throughout our supply chains.
Our resealable recyclable plastic pouches are made in New Zealand. Dependent on your location and council support of curb side recycling you can either put the empty bag out with the recycling or most good supermarkets offer a soft plastics recycling scheme allowing you to take back your used soft plastic bags to be recycled and repurposed into products including park benches and fences. After being temporarily placed on hold in New Zealand, the collections have started up again in some regions.
Our products have a “best before date” this is used to suggest that the product will be at its best when consumed before this date and if consumed after that date the product may have lost some of the quality, but is still safe to eat.
Ensuring you have the best quality product is super important to us. Because we chose all-natural ingredients in our products and don’t use additives our preservatives this can result in shorter best before dates compared to conventionally processed food products. Our full range of products undergo extensive shelf life testing to determine the maximum best before date, while always focusing providing you with the highest quality standards.
